10 Approaches and Landings

Pilots must clear the runway at the fastest speed allowed by standard operating procedures and in compliance with operational safety, allowing ATC to apply minimum separation on final approach. All landing aircraft must ensure that the runway has been completely cleared before coming to a complete stop. During landing, the pilot must select an appropriate and feasible exit taxiway to ensure MROT.

11 Takeoffs

- Pilots must be ready for departure when they reach the holding point. If not, inform the ground control.
- Alignment must be immediate as soon as authorized;
- Start rolling immediately after authorized (maximum reaction time expected: 10 seconds);
- Immediately make the initial call to APP Salvador after takeoff, in order to obtain instructions to free the axis from the runway;
- The initial call to the APP after takeoff must be immediate and only observe the following pattern:
"SALVADOR CONTROL [CALL SIGN]". Do not include any additional information to the aforementioned standard;
- Turboprop or piston aircraft must await radar vectoring or direct clearance to a published waypoint shortly after takeoff; and
- Unless otherwise instructed, pilots are encouraged to take off from the following intersections in order to secure MROT:

SBSV AD 2.21 NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES

 Part I

Noise abatement for jet aeroplanes irrespective of weight and for propeller and turboprop aeroplanes with MTOM of or above 11,000Kg.

1 General provisions

ACFT considered noisy are those which do not comply with the requirements established in letters bravo and charlie of item 36.103 of the Brazilian Regulation for Civil Aviation (RBAC 36) equivalent to chapters 3 and 4, respectively, of Annex 16 volume 1 to the International Civil Aviation Convention.

SBSV AD 2.22 FLIGHT PROCEDURES

General provisions

- PLN and its update by radiotelephony is prohibited,helidecks of oil and gas units are authorized to submit full PLN via radiotelephony to the ATS unit responsible for the origin area of the flight in emergency situations:
1- situations which might compromise the environment;
2- situations which might seriously compromise the physical integrity of the maritime platform;
3- situations which might seriously compromise the physical integrity of inhabitants of the maritime platform; and
4- situations which might put at risk the open air navigation of the other vessels.
- The flights must be accomplished according to the VFR or IFR flight rules.
TMA-Salvador shall be divided in six SECT, designated as follows: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
- SECT 1 will be in charge of RWY 10 Final CTL.
a) COM: OPR FREQ: 119.80 MHz;
b) Jurisdiction Area: Area comprised by a closed polygon formed by the connection of the following points: THR10; RDL 319/15NM; DME arc 15NM (counterclockwise); RDL 351/15NM; RDL 351/23NM; DME arc 23NM (counterclockwise); RDL 212/23NM, RDL 212/15NM; DME arc 15NM (counterclockwise); RDL 204/15NM; THR 10.
- SECT 2 will be in charge of RWY 28 Final CTL.
a) COM: OPR FREQ: 119.80 MHz;
b) Jurisdiction Area: Area comprised by a closed polygon formed by the connection of the following points: THR10; RDL 019/15NM; DME arc 15NM (clockwise); RDL 032/15NM; RDL 032/23NM; DME arc 23NM (clockwise); RDL 171/23NM, RDL 171/15NM; DME arc 15NM (counterclockwise); RDL
144/15NM; THR 10.
- SECT 3 will be in charge of RWY 17 Final CTL.
a) COM: OPR FREQ: 119.80 MHz;
b) Jurisdiction Area: Area comprised by a closed polygon formed by the connection of the following points: THR 10; RDL 319/15NM; DME arc 15NM (counterclockwise); RDL 019/15NM; THR 10.
c) It will always be ACT with SECT 4 RWY 35 Final together with SECT 1 or 2 with the same FREQ.
- SECT 4 will be in charge of RWY 35 Final CTL.
a) COM: OPR FREQ: 119.80 MHz;
b) Jurisdiction Area: Area comprised by a closed polygon formed by the connection of the following points: THR10; RDL 144/15NM; DME arc 15NM (clockwise); RDL 244/15NM; THR 10.
c) It will always be ACT with SECT 4 RWY 35 Final jointly with SECT 1 or 2 with the same FREQ.
- SECT 5 will have roles of CTL of DEP and Feeding SECT N in the Final CTL.

b) Jurisdiction Area: All the TMA, excepting areas of SECT 1, 2, 3 and 6, if one of those is ACT;
c) It has BDRY with SECT 6 through the extended RWY 10/ 28, EXC final SECT.
- SECT 6 will have roles of CTL of DEP and Feeding SECT S in the Final CTL.
a) COM: OPR FREQ: 120.80 MHz;
b) Jurisdiction Area: All the TMA, excepting areas of SECT 1, 2, 3 and 5, if one of those is ACT;
c) It has BDRY with SECT 6 through the extended RWY 10/ 28, EXC final SECT.
NOTES:
1. SECT 1 and 2 are the only SECT which will never be ACT SIMUL;
2. SECT 3 and 4 will always be ACT SIMUL together with SECT 1 or 2 and will have the same FREQ.

Procedures for IFR flights within TMA

ACFT TKOF from AD devoid of ATS unit, under the projection of its lateral boundaries, it will be compulsory:
1) Present PLN (complete or simplified version) to AIS office at Salvador through TEL: (71) 3337-8248, PLN: (71) 3204- 1349 or (71) 3204-1339;
2) Contact Salvador-APP before starting taxiing/ displacement, and;
3) Inform the TKOF actual time after the first contact with Salvador APP.
